Assistant Director: Mark McGee

Bio: Motorcycles have been a fascination of mine since childhood. Born in 1971, I was drawn to Evel Knievel Mania (like a moth to a bug-zapper). Any neighborhood kid that was lucky enough to own a mini bike, motor-cross bike, or moped… Look out! Somehow, I always managed to sweet-talk my way into riding. I wanted nothing more in life than to emulate what Evel did on that 1972 Harley-Davidson XR-750. That need for adrenalin translated to skateboarding in 1977 and continues to this day.
My first motorcycle purchase was a 750cc Honda Shadow A.C.E., quickly followed by a 900cc Triumph Bonneville T-100. I also own a 1971 Harley-Davidson 125cc Rapido (an AMF-years Aermacchi) and owned a 2000 KTM LC4. However, most enjoyable bike is my 2002 883R. Maybe one day I’ll graduate to a Twin-Cam. That FLHX sure is a sexy bike. Many of my extended-family members have been riding for 25-plus years. I cannot imagine my life without motorcycles. Everything cliché that you have heard about motorcycles giving you a sense of freedom or maybe even an alter-ego… They’re true. When not riding, I’m enjoying almost every minute working at Harley-Davidson Louisville as Retail Director.
